Next Steps

Welcome Team

Our Welcome Team helps meet people where they are on their spiritual journey by offering everyone a warm, friendly welcome. We work with other ministries at the Chapel to help people get truly connected with small groups and other forms of support, as well as sharing opportunities to grow and serve. You are invited to serve one service, one Sunday a month, or as often as you like. We would love to have you join our Welcome Team!

Bus Drivers for Sunday Shuttles

Our Sunday Shuttle Bus Drivers help our congregants and visitors that graciously park at Jamestown High School get to and from their vehicles and our doors. Parking at JHS is a great way we can serve visitors to open up a spot for them in our parking lot, and so our bus drivers help make that possible by shuttling people from the parking lot to our Main Entrance doors. Drivers must be 21 or older, and there is a rotational schedule for the volunteers.

Worship Ministry

Adult Choir

We are a “small group” that ministers together and are anxious to add new members to our choir. We welcome those who love to sing, who preferably have experience with choral music, and who are committed to singing on a regular basis. The choir rehearses most Thursday nights from 7–9 p.m. beginning the week following Labor Day and continuing until early June.

Praise Team

The Praise Team is a group of singers and instrumentalists who work together to lead the congregation in musical worship each week. Believing musical worship is both expressive and formative, we hope to praise and glorify Jesus, encountering Him in our collective hearts and minds. Do you sing or play an instrument and desire to worship God with your musical gifts?

Children's/Youth Choir

Children in elementary and middle school with a desire to sing are invited to join the Children’s or Youth Choir. We ask that children and parents make a commitment to weekly rehearsals and participation in the Christmas Concerts.

Usher Team

Ushers welcome each person into our worship services by handing out bulletins and assisting people getting to their seats. They also help by collecting the offering and serving communion. Ushers serve at the Sunday service that best fits their schedule for one month each quarter and at special events such as the Christmas Concerts. New volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated, either as part of our regular team or available as a substitute.

Floral Guild

Members of the Floral Guild design floral arrangements to enhance the beauty of the Chapel building. Monthly lunch meetings are a time to plan for the coming months, to learn new skills and to enjoy getting to know other women who share an interest in flowers. New members are welcome to join at any monthly meeting.
