Life on Mission: Evangelism Workshop

This will be a main emphasis of the Open House in January for people looking to join groups - if your group is looking for new members, this will a great way to do that. We are inviting all groups to participate in a five-week workshop on sharing your faith. Groups are encouraged to mix with others for the course to engage in small group discussion. Because of the great interest in the Life on Mission study we are excited to be offering all three sessions at their scheduled times: Sundays at 10:45 a.m., Sundays at 4:30 p.m. (the first meeting on February 4 will be from 3-4:30 p.m., all others will begin at 4:30 p.m.), and Thursdays at 7 p.m. Free childcare is available (excluding Thursday night) for up through 5th grade, by registration.
**Small groups that want to do the study on their own are also encouraged to. (Sunday AM – 211, Sunday PM – Ross Hall, Thursday – Ross Hall)

Resources for Small Group Leaders

At the Chapel we believe that we grow as disciples of Jesus when we pray, study God’s Word, worship, share God’s Word, and serve together. These practices take root when we commit to the intentional relationships found in small groups.
"Our group helps us to be intentional about pursuing our relationship with God and furthering our faith in a busy season of life. It gives us an opportunity to slow down and digest the week’s sermon or topic we’re studying by carving out time to dig deeper and experience God in community. It’s enlightening to see another believer’s response on a particular sermon or topic. Being in a small group is broadening our view of who God is by seeing Him work in others’ lives as well as our own. Our group gathers a few times a month to study the Word, pray, share a meal, and fellowship together. It is a place where we learn from other couples and are encouraged and inspired to know God better. It impacts many aspects of our life by giving us an opportunity to live alongside other families in the same stage of life. We are able to discuss faith, marriage, parenting, or anything that is on our hearts. We aren’t from this area and don’t have any family here, but we’ve been blessed that our group has become like family to us." — Brooke and Rob Hasenfel
