Roberta and I moved to Williamsburg in August 1997 from Springfield, VA. We have a son in Kill Devil Hills, NC, and a daughter in McLean, VA, and a total of five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
We began attending the Chapel in December 2001 as a result of our perception of a drift from basic Biblical truth in our previous church home. The first sermon we heard at the Chapel convinced us to make the move without reservation.
Roberta and I are both from a small town in northern Maine. I graduated from the University of Maine in Civil Engineering, and Roberta graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Lewiston, ME, and became an RN. I served in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps for more than 30 years, and we made our 23rd move to come to Williamsburg. Over the years, we served in several military chapels and local churches in various volunteer capacities. At the Chapel, we have served on the Welcome Team, Prayer Team, ticket ministry, Building Committee, and Lackey Free Clinic, and we lead a small group.
We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the Chapel, to see the fruits of the Lord’s work in our midst, and to hear His truth in every worship service.
