Vine Life: Adult Discipleship and Equipping Classes
Some churches call it “Sunday School”; we choose to put the emphasis on our continuous journey of becoming fully committed disciples of The Vine: Jesus Christ. Getting into God’s Word and doing life attached to The Vine leads us to service that points others to Christ. Choose a study that is right for you on your journey.
Note: Some classes recommend advance registration to ensure adequate materials are available and space is adequate. Classes with online registrations are noted after each class description.

ART OF MARRIAGE SMALL GROUP STUDY
Begins February 24 (6 sessions), Room 122
Facilitators: Marriage Team Couples • The Art of Marriage: Getting to the Heart of God’s Design is a Bible study for adults that helps participants blend their personalities and their life’s circumstances to create a divinely-inspired work of art—marriage. Every marriage is unique, expressed by the colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form—challenging to master but definitely worth the effort. Get ready to make a masterpiece of your marriage through this study.
MADE TO CRAVE SMALL GROUP STUDY (for women only)
Feb. 17-24, Room 128
Facilitator: Elizabeth Duncan, Director of Equipping Ministries • According to bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst, craving isn’t a bad thing, but we must realize God created us to crave so we’d ultimately desire more of Him in our lives. Many of us have misplaced that craving, overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction.
Sunday Second Hour (10:45 a.m.-noon)
EVANGELISM IN THE OLD TESTAMENT – THE TABERNACLE
Jan. 13 - Feb. 17, Room 120
Facilitator: Bill Brendley • Our study of the Tabernacle will help us comprehend God’s redemptive story by studying how we can see Christ in the articles, decorum, and construction of the Tabernacle. We will pay special attention to the role of sacrifice and the holiness of God.
EVANGELISM IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
March 10 (continuous), Room 120
Facilitator: Mike Stump • This study of the New Testament will focus on examples of intentional evangelism that are contained in the stories of the gospels and the writings of the epistles. If you’re looking for a continuous class with weekly consistency and fellowship with folks who enjoy studying the Word together, you might want to try this class. New participants are enthusiastically welcomed.
RESILIENCE, GOD STYLE
Jan. 13 – March 17, Room 156
Facilitator: Robert Dees • Are you a tennis ball (bounce) or an egg (splat)? How do we build spiritual fitness for the inevitable “body slams” of life? How do we “weather the storm” until the destruction passes by? How do we bounce back without getting stuck in the negative emotions of guilt, false guilt, anger, and bitterness? Based on Bob Dees’ book, Resilient Warriors, and associated Study Guide, this Vine Life Class will help us grow in “Resilience, God Style.”
STARTING POINT
Feb. 17-March 24, Room 118
Facilitator: Doug Bunn, Minister of Community • This study is for people who have questions as they consider following Jesus. Do you have big questions? This Small Group strives to create an atmosphere where it is comfortable and safe to ask questions. We hope that you can get lots of answers and make some friends, too.
THE LIFE YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED SMALL GROUP STUDY
Feb. 24-March 24, Room 122
Facilitator: Gil Rosenberg • Follow along in your Small Group as Pastor Bill preaches on this same topic. What does true spiritual life really look like? What keeps you from living such a life? How can you pursue it? If you are tired of the status quo—if you suspect there’s more to Christianity than what you’ve experienced—John Ortberg invites you to join him on a road to transformation and spiritual vigor that anyone can take. Through six sessions, you’ll be guided down the ancient path of the spiritual disciplines.
