On Sunday, Sept. 12, the Chapel family gathered for our 2021 Annual Meeting to celebrate all that Jesus has done over the past 18 months, as well as elect four new elders to our board. We’d like to thank each of our candidates – Ashley Heacock, Bob Hipple, Kirk Komarnicki, Terry Lowe, Faith Olson, and Wally Sale – for their diligence in walking through the elder nomination process, which included learning about the biblical role of elders/overseers and how the role is lived out in our context, as well as interviewing with the elder nominating committee. We also thank them for their humility in submitting to the congregational vote.
As a result of Sunday’s vote, the four members joining the elder board are Bob, Kirk, Terry, and Faith.
As we move into a new Annual Focus and the start of our fall ministry season, let’s welcome both our new elders and one another in keeping with the Apostle Paul’s teaching in Romans 15:7 – “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
If you were not able to attend the meeting in person, please watch the recording below.
