Fix our Eyes on Jesus the Evangelist: “You must be born again.”: (John 3:1-15)
Rich used the story of Nicodemus to highlight the challenging and wonderful truth that Jesus is not simply offering an upgraded life, He is offering a new life. The new life gives the Christian a new identity that is based on who God and His Word say that we are. This identity is deeper and more enduring than the one based on superficial characteristics we default to apart from Jesus. This new life in Jesus also brings a new heart that pursues the things God pursues and new power to live out the calling God has for you. If you have not received that new life that brings a new identity, a new heart, and a new Spirit — then look to Jesus and surrender to Him in faith.
