Chapel Weekly Email - September 28, 2021

Last Sunday
Glory in the Church
 – Ephesians 3:7-21

The church is absolutely central to God's plan for salvation. God not only reveals His glory through His Son Jesus; God also reveals His glory through the Church as the body of Christ.

This Sunday: New Series begins!

Join us as we begin the next series in our Annual Focus, The Mission of "My Church".

Devotion and Prayer

Let's come together in prayer as we ask God to help us see more of the Church's beauty throughout our week. We hope you will join us tomorrow (and every Wednesday) Sept. 29 at 9:30am for our devotion and prayer led by Jeff Clouse. For tomorrow's devotion, we will be in person only under the tent. We will not be livestreaming.

Chapel Offices closed tomorrow

The Chapel offices will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 29 for an all-staff retreat off campus. Please call the church office at (757) 229-7152 with your pastoral care needs.

Senior Ministry: Coffee and Chat

Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 9:30-11am, outside under the tent
You are invited for a chance to reconnect with others and share conversation, coffee or tea, and “goodies” under the tent. Since our regular Senior Lunches have been postponed until 2022, we hope you can participate in this opportunity to gather and reconnect with other seniors. *Please note the change from the regular meeting day of Wednesday. Contact: Karen Thompson at   or 757-291-6819. Please register using the link below so we will know how much to prepare.

Watch the video below of Luke Kincaid as he interviews Karen Thompson for more details about the Coffee and Chat!

Churches Loving Schools: Adopt-a-member of JBMS

Our Chapel family partners with New Zion Baptist Church to come alongside and share God's love with James Blair Middle School's teachers and staff. People from both churches show support through individually written cards and prayers. Special gifts and cookouts are given throughout the school year as an extension of this encouragement. If you would like to "adopt" a member of the JBMS Spider Family, please click the link below to sign up. For any questions, contact Claire Jacobs at  .

New Sunday Adult Bible Class

Sundays beginning Oct. 10 from 10:30-11:30am, Room 120

Join us for a 5-week study titled, 24 Ways to Explain the Gospel. Salvation can be a difficult concept to explain. Fortunately, God's Word provides many ways of looking at our situation and at God's solution. This presentation provides ways to help us communicate the gospel that everyone can understand. Williamsburg Friday Men's Breakfasts

Fridays from 7-8am,
Revolution Golf & Grille (1430 High Street, Suite 706)
Calling all men — we have enjoyed some great time in God’s word together, so far, as we continue to learn lessons from the Israelites’ journey in the wilderness. Thank you to the many men who have joined us! Please invite a friend to come this week as we look at God’s provision of manna in Exodus 16 and continue to see how the journey from bondage to freedom points us to Jesus Christ.
