December 2020 Spiritual and Financial Update
by Travis Simone on January 15, 2021
Dear Chapel Family,
In 1 Chronicles 29:14, King David provides us with the proper perspective on our resources: “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” I’m grateful to be part of a church family that generously gives back to God, who gave everything for us.

Here are a few highlights from the video:
Telling the story of stewardship at the Chapel requires much more than numbers and percentages. This week I received a letter from an organization in our community serving vulnerable populations in the midst of our ongoing public health challenges. In response to the Chapel’s support, their director of development wrote, “No one coming through our doors will ever be turned away for their inability to pay for services. Your gift is the key that will keep our doors open.” The gifts we give back to God are opening doors for people all over our community, nation, and world to hear the Gospel, the Good News, that the Savior has come. He is Christ, the Lord.
In 2021, the Chapel family will celebrate 45 years of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with a world in desperate need of a Savior! As we begin this new year of ministry, mission, and stewardship, let us pray the same prayer David prayed for God’s people from around 3000 years ago: “I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you” (1 Chronicles 29:17). In 2021, let us continue to give back to God, who gave everything for us.
