June 2021 Spiritual & Financial Update

June 2021 Spiritual & Financial Update

by Travis Simone on July 09, 2021

Dear Chapel Family,

As I’ve been doing at the start of each month, I’d like to provide us with the previous month’s spiritual and financial update.

For our financial update:

  • In the month of June, we received 113% of our budgeted offerings. Please join me in expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness through the generosity of the Chapel family.
  • Year-to-date through the month of June, we have received 98% of our budgeted offerings.

For our financial reports throughout the year, more information on giving, or to give, please visit wcchapel.org/giving

For our spiritual update, as I’ve listened for God’s direction in this season, He continues to impress upon my heart that recovery requires reconnection. In order to receive Jesus’ recovery, we must reconnect as a family of faith. Over the next few weeks we have several great opportunities to experience that reconnection:

  • Chapel Family Picnics Only 2 left! Tuesdays, July 13 & 20 from 6:30-8pm under the tent. Please RSVP by clicking HEREso that we can make sure to prepare enough food. (Forgot to RSVP? No problem! All are welcome.)
  • Digital Devotion & Prayer Time – Wednesdays at 10am (new time!) in person under the tent and online. Click HERE for more details.
  • Family VBS – Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30 from 5:30-7:30pm. The entire family is invited to participate in our evening program which includes dinner. I am eager to partner together in the discipleship of the children Jesus brings to the Chapel. Register or volunteer by clicking HERE
  • Coffee Hour – Sundays from 10-11am, we’re rolling out the coffee cart to help us reconnect under the portico. Linger after the first service or come early for our second service to enjoy a time of fellowship over hot or iced coffee.

This past Sunday, while our online worshipers waited for our service to begin, we shared a video where members of our armed services from the Chapel shared their thoughts about Independence Day. Please click the image below to watch that video.

After celebrating Independence Day this past weekend, let us continue to remember that true freedom comes from dependence on Jesus, who calls us into interdependent relationships with one another. I look forward to receiving Jesus’ recovery as we remain fully dependent on Him and committed to reconnecting with one another. As the Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:15-17,

“…we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”

See you Sunday – outside, inside, and online
