March 27: A Message from Travis

Posted by Travis Simone on

Dear Chapel Family,

As we come to the end of another challenging week, I want to take a few minutes to provide some pastoral perspective in the midst of our current situation. Please click the image below to watch a brief video message.

As I mentioned in the video, the Chapel family has already contributed tangible assistance through our support of organizations providing food, housing, and other resources to those in need. If you are in need of care, whether pastoral care or practical assistance, please click the Get Care button below. If you would like to learn about ways you can provide care and serve others in need during this time, please click the Provide Help button below.

The way the Chapel family has shared our online worship opportunities has really made a difference for people searching for hope in this time of need. Please continue to share as we seek Jesus together in worship by directing people to wcchapel.org/worship. Just like the last two weekends, our worship service will be available by 9am on Sunday.

Our Digital Devotions have really helped me keep my informational diet balanced and healthy in this time as I have engaged with members of our Chapel family using Facebook LIVE. You can join us live on Facebook on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 2pm, or you can watch the video of those prayer times on our website at wcchapel.org/digitaldevotions.

Finally, getting virtually connected with my small group last Sunday evening has also been beneficial to my spiritual health. If you would like to get connected to a group, or your group needs help connecting digitally, please contact our Small Groups Pastor, Dale South,  .

Although we are not able to gather at the church right now, we can still be the church in powerful ways. One of those ways includes worshipping together so that we can remain united spiritually even while we are separated physically. I hope you will engage with Jesus through our online worship service this weekend.

See you online Sunday,
Travis Simone
Lead Pastor, Williamsburg Community Chapel
