May 2021 Spiritual & Financial Update
by Williamsburg Community Chapel on June 11, 2021
Dear Chapel Family,
This past Sunday, Lead Associate Pastor Rich Sylvester shared our May Spiritual and Financial Update during his introduction to our time of offering. If you were unable to be with us this weekend, either physically or virtually, please take 5 minutes to view the following video.
For our financial reports throughout the year, more information on giving, or to give, please visit wcchapel.org/giving.
Our summer sermon series is entitled Re-Cover. Together we will trace the theme of recovery across the entire arc of the biblical narrative. Everyone has been coping with a crisis and now it is time to turn and receive Jesus’ recovery. In order to receive Jesus’ recovery, I believe it will be essential for us to reconnect as a family of faith. Here are several opportunities to do just that:
Chapel Family Picnics – Tuesday nights throughout the summer from 6:30-8pm. Join us for food, fun, and fellowship. Visit wcchapel.org/picnic for more details.
Digital Devotions and Prayer – Each Wednesday from 9-9:20am, we will gather as a staff and family of faith to pray under the tent. You can also join us online at wcchapel.org/digitaldevotions, Facebook, and YouTube. If you’re unable to join us live, the videos from all our devotions will be available at each of those digital locations.
Summer Small Group – If you’re new to the Chapel or not currently in a small group, this is a great opportunity for you. This group will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm at the information desk in our Main Foyer. Come for small group and stay for the picnic to continue building relationships. For more information, contact our Associate Pastor of Groups, Dale South, at or click HERE.
In Genesis 3:21 we read, “The LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skin and clothed them.” Adam and Eve had attempted to cover themselves with fig leaves, but God, in his grace, literally re-covers them. My prayer this summer is for God to re-cover each of us with the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.
See you Sunday – outside, inside, and online,
Remember, starting this Sunday, the times are sticking but the locations are switching. Join us for worship – 9am outside, 11am inside, or online anytime.
