Update from Travis Regarding Governor Northam’s Friday Announcement

Posted by Travis Simone on

Dear Chapel Family,

On Friday afternoon, Governor Northam announced new statewide measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Please take two minutes to watch the following video to hear about our plan to continue worshiping together outside (9am), inside (11am), and online (anytime) this Sunday, November 15.

Please visit for more information on what to expect and to learn about our commitment to gathering safely.
In this season, our goal has been to meet people wherever they are spiritually and physically. Our strategy of worshiping together outside, inside, and online has allowed us to remain connected to the True Vine, Jesus Christ, as well as care for the health and well-being of our community. God’s people have faced obstacles to worshiping together before. Psalms 42 and 43 record one worshiper’s thoughts during such a season. He writes, “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God” (Psalm 42:5).
I look forward to praising our salvation and our God together this Sunday as we continue to pursue our goal of meeting people wherever they are spiritually and physically in this unique season of God’s movement.

See you Sunday — outside, inside, and online,

Travis Simone
