June 28, 2020 Sunday Worship Service
In addition to watching here on our website, you can also watch from the Chapel's YouTube channel.
Outside, Inside, and Online
Sunday, July 5 > Let us know you are coming!
We are excited to continue to meet people wherever they are, both physically and spiritually on their journey, as we worship together Outside, Inside, and Online! If you plan to attend onsite for the 9 am service (Outside) or the 11 am service (Inside), we ask that you let us know you are coming in order for our staff to plan accordingly. To rsvp, call 757-229-7152 or click the button below:
Again, this is not to reserve a spot, it is so that our staff can safely accommodate everyone who wishes to join us in person. Click here to read more details on worshiping together.
Join us on Sundays at 8:40 am and 10:40 am on this page, Facebook or YouTube
The Digital Foyer is a chance for us to digitally connect with Christ and community while we are separated physically. It is an interactive space to bump into people that you don't get to see right now and our hope is that the short interactions in the Digital Foyer will lead to longer conversations over the phone or social media during the rest of the week. We will share stories and pictures of God at work in our community, ask interactive questions to comment on, and have some fun giveaways.
Listening and Learning
In the June 7 service, Rich Sylvester, Lead Associate Pastor, invited all of us to join him in a journey of listening and learning about the issues on racial inequality and injustice in America. Click here to access the resources list.
Click here to watch the conversation between Travis Simone, Lead Pastor, and Ed Haywood, Associate Pastor of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk, about race in America and the American Church.
Digital Devotion and Prayer
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9 am
Watch the live stream by clicking the button below, on Facebook , or on YouTube. If you cannot join us at noon, the videos of all the devotions will continue to be available on Facebook and YouTube (Digital Devotion & Prayer playlist).
Service of Communion
Sunday, July 5 at 7 pm
Outside at the Chapel and Online at wcchapel.org/communion
The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11:26, “As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” In order to continue meeting people where they are spiritually and physically, we will host our Service of Communion outside at the Chapel and streamed live online. If you are in need of communion elements, we will provide them on Sunday, July 5 during the morning service or you can pick up them up at the South entrance from 12-1 pm. For more information, visit wcchapel.org/communion.
Chapel Family Picnic
Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22 from 6:30–8:30 pm, South Lawn
Join the Chapel family for some food, fun, and fellowship outside, both under and around the tent! We will eat dinner together, play games, and wrap up with a short time of worship. For more information and to rsvp, visit wcchapel.org/familypicnic.
We extend our prayers and sympathy to the Keil family on the loss of Joyce's mother.
